A Wolf at the Table by Augusten Burroughs

Recently enjoyed . . .

French Women Don’t Get Fat by Mireille Guiliano (4 Stars) Really a much better book than I expected.  It makes sense.

Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert (3 Stars) I really only made it through Italy and skimmed the rest, but left with a few gems of information that stuck with me.

Ordinary Life by Elizabeth Berg (3 Stars)  I’m only giving it 3 stars because she did manage to make me cry.  I’m going to have to read more of this author because I really just didn’t get it, yet she’s quite beloved by her fans.

She Got Up Off the Couch by Haven Kimmel (4 Stars) This book is written in what I would call a series of essays, some which I enjoyed more than others.  I do not love her as completely as I thought I might, considering the fact that she is one of Augusten’s favorite authors in the entire world.

Leaving Cold Sassy by Olive Ann Burns (4 Stars)  Unfortunately, the story kind of ends when the author dies, it’s never really completely finished.  I love her characters.

Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult (3 Stars)  There were good parts to this book, but I ended up skimming it.  Too much detail & not enough action to hold my interest through the thick middle.

The Reader by Bernard Schlink (4 Stars)  I’ve recently found myself skimming books, but this one kept my interest.  I liked the fact that it was shorter than most books and thus did not drown me in details.

Naked Prey by John Sandford (5 Stars) One of the best in the series.

Dead Time by Stephen White (4 Stars) Slow start, great finish.

Critical by Robin Cook (5 Stars)  A great read!  Loved it . . .

Invisible Prey by John Sandford  (4 stars)

The Appeal by John Grisham (3 stars) A Disappointment.

The Fourth Hand by John Irving (3 stars) Skimmed to the end.  Not his best.

Bad Luck and Trouble by Lee Child (5 stars)  I love the author & the character.

Deep Storm by Lincoln Child (4 stars)

Dark Harbor by David Hosp (4 stars)

Die Trying by Lee Child (4 stars)

The Ruins by Scott Smith (4 stars)

Echo Burning by Lee Child (4 stars)

Just finished Candy Girl by Diablo Cody. You would probably enjoy it. It’s about her memoirs as a stripper and peep show booth chick. Funny stuff.

Thanks! I’ll have to look for this. After Juno, I have to imagine it’s a great book. Actually anything about being a peep show booth chick has to be interesting.
